20% price lowered on Blackberry Q5 to boost sales

Blackberry has decreased the price of Q5 smartphone by 20% to Rs 19,990 , to boost sales of devices powered by its BB10 operating system.
The device with a Qwerty keypad was earlier priced at Rs 24,990, which now is Rs 19,990.  BlackBerry has introduced a New Year Bonanza offer for its popular Blackberry Q5 smartphone under which customers can purchase the smartphone at Rs 19,990.

The New Year Bonanza aims at providing a powerful mobile device, with cutting edge BlackBerry 10 OS at an affordable prices. The offer is in line with BlackBerry’s commitment towards the Indian market and will help the brand to reach out to more potential customers.

Besides, it is also betting on apps, including taking its popular messaging service BBM to other operating systems, to rake in additional revenue in the coming months.  BlackBerry, in a filing, had disclosed that mounting inventory had cost the company about $1.6 billion in the third quarter and forced it to cancel the launch of two new devices.  

Iball’s new Phablet

Iball will be launching a phablet in the market, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean-based iBall Andi 5.5N2, priced at Rs. 14,999, with a best buy price of Rs. 13,499. It will be available in a White model, as pictured above.
The smartphone was previously available at an online retailer as the iBall Andi 5.5N2 Quadro, at Rs. 13,215. The iBall Andi 5.5N2 features a 5.5-inch IPS HD (1280×720 pixel) display, and runs on a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The iBall Andi 5.5N2 bears a 12-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, apart from a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There is 4GB of inbuilt storage on the Andi 5.5N2 Quadro, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options on the phablet include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, Micro-USB and 3G HSPA+. iBall is also touting the Andi 5.5N2′s wireless display connectivity via Wi-Fi, but makes no mention of the specific technology used.

Kesha has been admitted to a rehab facility to treat an eating disorder.TMZ first reported the
news that the “Timber” singer had checked herself into the Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center near Chicago, the same facility Demi Lovato entered in November 2010.”I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I’ve found it hard to practice,” Ke$ha, who has previously said that she is a vegetarian, said in a statement to People on Friday. “I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am.”The singer gave fans an inside look at her life in the MTV docuseries “Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life,” with season two drawing to a close on December 18. Her trip to rehab comes just one month before she is scheduled to perform in Dubai as part of her Warrior tour. In March and April, she’s slated to perform a pair of North American shows in Hammond, Indiana, and Green Bay, Wisconsin.On New Year’s Eve, Ke$ha unveiled a new video for “Dirty Love” marking her directorial debut. One day later, she tweeted: “Cheers to this year being the best year ever. 2014 gon [sic] be the year of truth and freedom.”A previous MTV Europe Music Awards winner, Ke$ha last year was honored with a New Now Next Award for her single “C’mon,” as well as a Genesis Award for raising awareness of animal issues.
